Loved the show last night. The new songs sound great live. "All of us" was a great closer. The show had it all, and far exceeded my expectations, and they were high. Come back soon!

Went to the Birminham gig last night and Zero 7 played soul, funk, jazz, techno, blues, classical, pop, folk, acoustic and perhaps other genres of music and I enjoyed it all. The new songs the old songs and the re-invented songs were great. The 2 female vocalists were excellent and the encore finale was sublime. 1 hour and 50 minutes of total enjoyment.

Went to the Edinburgh gig last night and zero 7 were awesome. Yes there was a lot of new stuff mixed with new interpretations of classics but it worked! The version of destiny wasn't massacred ( as some people have unfortunately thought) - it was just different. If i wanted to hear it played how it used to be done then i will just listen to the studio version! The set was solid and mixed it up enough to keep everyone interested. I certainly didn't see anyone leave. SOme of the melodies were just as beautiful and haunting as the studio versions ( even more so in a couple of cases.)

All in all an outstanding gig and i will definitely be "in the waiting line" for the next tour.

    Peace

I went to the Roundhouse on Thursday night as well. Saw them at the UEA back in 2004 and they were absolutely brilliant. I was disappointed Sia wasn't at the Roundhouse this time, but thought I'd give them a chance.

We ended up leaving 45 minutes into the gig after they completely slaughtered Destiny. Have to say I've never left a gig early before and I was really bored during their set, as were the people we were standing next to. I also noticed the steady stream of people leaving as we walked out.

Have to agree with Seran that there was absolutely no connection with the audience. Such a shame, I hope this isn't the end of the line for the band, but I worry it might well be.

I saw zero 7 in the Brighton Dome last Tuesday, and Olivia Chaney's version of Pop Art Blue was the high point for me - her voice was absolutely beautiful. Also enjoyed the acoustic version of In The Waiting Line, one of my all time faves!

I saw Zero 7 on Friday night at the Roundhouse myself and also like many of you for the 4th time. I'm a little surprised with all the disappointment. I thought as usual they were amazing. I've always been impressed with the fact that they mix their set up and don't play the songs the way you expect them to. The new singers added a gospel, soul and celtic country punch to old favourites which I throughly enjoyed. I realise that when you are at a gig and the moment that your favourite song starts playing you want it to sound like the album or the last live performance but the fact they bring something new to our favourite songs keeps them from being boring. I didn't even bother to listen to the new album before the gig as I wanted to hear their live interpretation of it before I had the studio version stuck in my head. Zero 7 don't follow any rules and if the next time I see them live and Sam and Henry et al are wearing rubber chicken suits playing their songs on banjos I will still love it! Forever a fan x
